Red Dog Basic Rules
Red Dog, a simple game from the old West played with three cards.
After receiving two cards a player wins if next card dealt ranks between first
two cards. If all three cards are same rank, a player wins 11 to 1.
In Red Dog after placing an initial bet, a player receives two
cards. If two cards are different a player must decide either raise or continue
with current bet before receiving a third card.
Player's win if third card falls numerically between first two
cards. Winning hands are paid based on spread between first two cards. In Red
Dog a player loses total bet including any raised bet if third card does not
fall between first two cards.
When first two cards have consecutive ranks (for example, 5 &
6), then hand ties and all bets are returned.
When first two cards have same rank a third card gets
automatically dealt. If this card matches first two you win eleven times initial
bet. If this third card differs from first two it's a push and all bets are
returned.
